The formation of GAFM is the result of the concerted efforts of numerous individuals and organizations sharing a common desire to forward the cause of sound floodplain management. Membership in GAFM is open to all professionals, public and private entities, students and citizens interested in or involved in floodplain, watershed, stormwater, wetlands and hazard mitigation management and/or related disciplines within the State of Georgia. 13th Annual Technical Conference
2019 GAFM Annual Conference
GAFM is pleased to announce that the 2019 Annual Technical Conference will be hosted once again by the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel in Athens! The theme for the 2019 conference is 'Shoot for the Moon, Mitigation is Limitless: Creative ways Georgia is Flood Ready'.
The conference will take place from March 6-8, 2019. As in years past, the conference will offer field trip opportunities and the annual Golf Outing. The start of the main conference will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 6, and the conference will end at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 8, with the CFM exam being offered immediately after the conference from 1:00-4:00 pm on Friday, March 8. More information about registering for the exam and other aspects of the conference will be posted as soon as details are finalized. In the meantime, feel free to direct any questions or concerns to the Conference Chair, Jack Krolikowski, at Jack.Krolikowski@dnr.ga.gov.
